Cold Case: 1984 Gloria Pointer, Cleveland, Ohio

Cold Case Arrest Made:

1984 Gloria Pointer Case in Cleveland, Ohio

In 1984, 14 year old Gloria Pointer was found in a stairwell of an apartment building on 105th Street in Cleveland.

She was on her way to Harry E. Davis Junior High School to receive an award that day, but never made it. Her body was found 2 1/2 hours later raped and murdered. Her case had remained with no leads to a suspect, until recently.

Due to the increase in today's DNA testing, they were able to re-evaluate some of the evidence in the Gloria Pointer Case. The DNA results gave them a hit. Hernandez Warren was the result of that DNA hit and has been arrested as the perpetrator in this case.

He is being held on a $5 mil bond. Warren has pleaded "Not Guilty".  Court proceedings are to begin June 4,  2013.

Yvonne Pointer, the mother of Gloria Pointer, has done many things to keep her daughter's case in the media through the years. She has since started a foundation to help others that have been affected by similar circumstances.
